Todd Applegate named the first holder of the R. Harold and Patsy Harrison Distinguished Professorship in Poultry Science
Gifts and pledges totaling more than $2.6 million from the R. Harold and Patsy Harrison Foundation have established the R. Harold and Patsy Harrison Distinguished Professorship in Poultry Science to support programs in the Department of Poultry Science at the University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES).

GRA Eminent Scholar Robin Buell awarded prestigious national genetics prize
Buell, who recently joined the faculty in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as the Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar Chair in Crop Genomics, has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 McClintock Prize by the Maize Genetics Cooperation (MGC) Advocacy Committee (MGAC) for her groundbreaking work in plant genome structure, function and evolution.
